- Urban paradise -

Hello lovely people of the internet!

Two days ago I went to Utrecht for an awesome instagram meeting (which I will tell you about in my next blogpost)
This is where I met Femke and Sam, and if you know me, you know that I took lots of pictures haha ☺

I has been a while since I took portrait pictures (sadly) but I'm pretty happy with how these turned out!

I hope you like them!

This is different from my usual, all black and white/portrait style but I really like the urban street vibes.

Let me know what you think of them.

I hope you have a nice week ♥

Lots of love,
Sophie

- Norway part 2, disposable camera pictures -

Hello lovely people of the internet!

You are probably all going to school again,
so I thought you could all use some more holiday pictures to get you through these first school weeks haha ;)

I picked up my disposable camera pictures yesterday and it made me a bit sad to be home in the rainy Netherlands.

Norway is one of the most beautiful countries i've been to so far!
The mix between the creative city centre and the pure nature makes it almost perfect ☺

I'm going to write a little bit by each pictures so you know where it was taken.

Well, these first two pictures where taking at the place where we set up our tents during (my first) 2 day backpacking hike. It was such a beautiful place to sleep, next to the water, with the mountains infront of us.

These three pictures are from our first full day in Norway where we made a 5 hour walk, the view at the top was breathtaking!

Oh these other 3 where also from our 2 day hike ;)

The one thing I really wanted to see was a waterfall. It was the last day and still I hadn't seen like a real waterfall.
So on our last day we adventured out to see this awesome waterfall!

This is probably my favorite picture. It was takin on my birthday trip to Oslo. It's my mom drinking tea in the cutest coffee place i've ever been to ♥

Hope you all have a nice week!
Let me know what you think of the pictures ☺

Lots of love,
Sophie

- Norway part 1 -

Hello lovely people of the internet!

This girl is currently in Norway aah ☺
I've been here for a week now, and collected some of my favourite pictures that I took with my phone (DSLR pictures will probably come later) for you to share today!

First some visual vibes from our way here. For the people wondering, we are staying in Seljord situated in Telemark.

Day 1
The first full day here we already went on a hike, way more intense than planned.
But the view was one of the best things i've seen yet! Totally worth it ☺

 Day 2

This was on our second day here, we travelled to another place from where we started (my first) backpacking trip the next day. Below you can see where we build "our camp" haha.
I found it very tough but also a very awesome experience!

Day 3
 Day 4
 Day 4

This might have been one of the best days in my life so far. This girl got to ride with a husky pack!!!! If you know me, you know how much I LOVE HUSKY'S, i loved them since I first saw the movie 'snow dogs' haha. It was so cool! The dogs are so strong, powerfull and beautiful but also really sweet. It was awesome to see how passionate their owner Olav was about his dogs. I also got to ride the quad myself which was insanely rad!!

Day 5

Yesterday, we had a chill day so we could recorver from our adventures.
I red the book "Eleanor and Park" which I recommend, it's really really good! I also went on a berry picking adventure with my mom.

Day 6
Today we decided to go kanoeing on the Seljord lake. I got to Kayack for the first time; which was really cool. The view was very beautiful (Norway is very beautiful in general)

Monday my mom and I take the train to Oslo and stay there 3 days for my 18th birthday (Oh god, so old) I'll share those pictures as soon as I get back ♥

Have you guys been to Norway? (this is my first time btw)

Hope you are having a good day!

Lots of love,
Sophie

- Outfit of the day with Naomi -

Hugs, coffee & photography

Hello lovely people!

Today Naomi  came to visit me, becauseeeee we are having a sleepover tonight yay!

I picked up Naomi at the train station this morning and showed her around my town.
We discovered lots of awesome places to take some outfit pictures; so we did.

We gigled and ran from wall to wall,
while our stuff was almost being ran over by a car.

Strange stares and awkward poses led to some pretty cool pictures if I may say so myself.

I hope you like them as much as I do ♥

Let me know if you'd like to see more outfit posts in the future!

Lots of love,
Sophie

- My top 5 Favorite places in & around London -

                                                                          Hello lovely people!
I'm back from my holiday in England ☺
As I got a lot of questions on instagram asking where I went and which places I visited, I decided to tell you about my 5 favorite places in England. I hope this is helpfull for when you visit England ♥

This is a list of some different places to go for people that have been there and seen the "Typical Englisch" places like the Big Ben, Tower bridge, Buckingham Pallace etc. already.

If you've never been in London I'd suggest visiting the tourist things first; it's just fun to see them in real life ☺

   Number 1: Brighton
"Strolling through the lanes, drinking coffee & enjoying the sea wind with your toes in the water"

Brighton is by far my favorite place in England, it has everything that I like:
wind, beach, cute shops & coffee.
When you walk out the train station (on a sunny day) you can already see the sea from there.
It's already great because you can lay on the beach while reading a good book, but there are also lots of streets with cute shops and caf├ęs.
( It's about a 70 minute train ride from London Victoria station)

Number 2: Shoreditch (Brick Lane)
Vintage paradise

If you, like me, are really into vintage shops and street art, I really recommend you go there!
Unfortunately I missed the market (because of the rain) But there are still lots off awesome vintage stores.
"Blitz" is a really good one!

There are also some stands inside, where you can buy food, which are nice.
(It's just fun to walk there because of the graffiti)

Number 3: Saatchi Gallery
Surprisingly awesome!

Personally I'd never heard of the Saatchi Gallery. Thanks to the lovely girl who recommended it on instagram, I now can share it with you ♥

Saatchi is much smaller than other museums in London. Because it's not that well known it's also not that busy, which makes it more fun to explore.

It's also free, so if you are looking for a bad weather activity I suggest you go here!

Number 4Camden town
Interesting people, good food and awesome shops

If you want to buy some nice souvenirs, but don't want to come home with the typical "I ♥ London sweather, Camden is the place to go! It's filled with lots of different shops from different cultures. If you are not interested in shopping, it is also a nice place to try out new food ☺

Number 5:  Natural History Museum, science museum & Tate Modern.

Probably the top 3 most famous museums in London, they are famous with a reason!

For the art lovers; Tate Modern is really cool!
It is very minimalistic and modern and has an impressive collection of famous art!
I recognized a lot of work that I learned about in my art history class wich was pretty awesome.

Natural History Museum is cool for everyone. When you walk in, there is a dinosaur ... hellooooo a freakin dinosaur!!!! Do I need to say more?

Science Museum is also really cool. It's more interactive than the other musuems, which makes it cool for your younger siblings as well.

I hope you enjoyed this!
In my next blog post I'll probably tell you in more detail about my trip.

How is your holiday been so far? Been in awesome countries?

Hope you have a good time ♥

Lots of love,
Sophie

- A fresh start -

Aaaah! Hello and welcome to my new and improved website!

I'm so excited to be able to post on my new site, I hope you like it as much as I do :)

For the people that are new and don't know me from my "old blog" or instagram;

My name is Sophie, I'm a 17 year old girl from the Netherlands.

I'm a massive coffee, animal, photography, art, drawing, plant, longboard & vintage lover.
I can be very awkward and shy when I meet new people, but i've been getting better at it!

I didn't want this post to be to much information about myself, because you'll get to know me better through blogposts than through me rambling some facts about myself.

For now I just wanted to share one of the things I love doing most: taking pictures.
I took some disposable camera pictures on my last trip to Engeland 2 weeks ago that I want to share.

( I also took lots of pictures with my DSLR, but I just really like the vintage disposable camera vibes)

I'm very curious to know what you think about my new site, the lay-out, the pictures, just everything!
Let me know what you think in the comments!

Have you guys ever been to England?
(I'm actually leaving again this Tuesday for another holiday in England yay!)

Lots of love
Sophie
